A sweet meat for a sweet treat!

La Quercia Artisan Cured Meats

I am always on the lookout for great artisanal foods.
Cured meats that are done well make a perfect course
as part of an alfresco summer antipasto. Paired with the
right cheese and wine, it’s like a trip to Italy in your backyard. 
This time, an Italian product is made right here in the USA,
Iowa to be exact.  Founder Herb Eckhouse has created a
fantastic prosciutto (air dried ham) that rivels its’ counterpart
made in Italy and surpasses them in taste and delicateness.
The preserved and aged meat, when sliced thin and allowed
to come to room temperature can best be enjoyed with olive
oiled bread slices, grilled stone fruit or any type of sweet melon.
It’s one of my new favorite products and after you try it I am sure
it will be yours.
