2005 Côte du Bone Roan
California

In addition to being the founder and winemaker of Rosenblum Cellars, Kent Rosenblum has been a practicing veterinarian for nearly 40 years. His remarkable winemaking talent has a bit of whimsy in this blend of delicious red Rhone varietals composed of mostly Syrah from Paso Robles. A touch of Zinfandel, Mourvedre and Carignane bring nuances to this food friendly wine that exhibits ripe fruit, floral tones, spices and subtle smokiness, and makes for a wine that is easy to drink with meats, poultry, game, cheese, tomato pasta dishes, and will also stand alone if you're just in the mood for a "glass of delicious red". The wine is lovely to drink now and will also develop some additional character with another year or two of bottle aging. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle benefits Paws With A Cause, a nationally recognized charity that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
