2005 Zinfandel
Louvau Vineyard Old Vines
Dry Creek Valley
This
fabulous Zinfandel is a revelation because it is delicious to drink
now, and is a wine that will develop further with bottle age. It
is produced from dry-farmed grapes in the John Louvau vineyard in
Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. The flavors are of black–berry
fruit, spices, and a balance of subtle oak. It is also exceptionally
well balanced as a food wine and is a perfect companion to grilled
meats, poultry, mushrooms, and hearty cheeses. Proprietor Mike Dashe
has once again created a masterpiece that shows how "classy"
Zinfandel can be.
